Maison Brûlée is a 200 year old converted bergerie made of local stone. It has been completely refurbished in 2008 and new interior styling in 2013 (more images to be added Feb 2014). . The tennis court is in very good condition.
The house sits in nearly 6 hectares of private grounds consisting of olive groves, fruit trees, and landscaped gardens. The property has breathtaking views, uninterupted in all directions, and is bordered by a national forest. Evenings provide stunning sunsets.
The house is in the commune of Fox-Amphoux and the local café, shop and post office are 1.8km away. There is an Auberge in the old village of Fox-Amphoux on the hill. The towns of Aups (10mins. in the car)and Cotignac (12mins. in the car)are almost equidistant and offer many shops, restaurants, markets, supermarkets and oodles of Provençal charm.
The Gorge du Verdon nearby offers Kayaking, canooing and boat trips. Stables can be found 5km away in Sillans-le-Cascade where horses can be rented and lessons can be booked. The area is also ideal for bike riding and walking and exploring.
