Nestled equi-distance from the five beautiful old perched villages of the Canton de Fayence: Mons, Montauroux, Callian, Seillan and Fayence, with their cobbled streets and traditional houses and shops. The property is located at La Chesnaye, a quiet and secure domain consisting of exclusive Villas situated high in the hills away from the hectic pace of the Rivera. Cannes and Frejus are visible from La Chesnaye as are the mountains where the skiing takes place in winter. Both are just 40 minutes by car from the villa. The Gorge de Verdon is just an hour away with breathtaking views and stunning scenery, and is a world renowned centre for para-gliding. The lac St Cassien is just 15 minutes away and has an adventure park, pedalo's and horse riding.
All the local villages have regular bustling traditional markets and a wide range of restaurants including Michelin starred, to suit all tastes. Fayence is the busiest of the villages and has regular arts and crafts markets and many places to eat and drink.
Fayence is famous for it's gliding club and the Four Seasons Golf club 'Terre Blanche', both of which are open to the public and have fantastic restaurants.
The beaches of Cannes and Frejus are just a 40 minute drive away.
The light and airy open plan design of the villa has plenty of full length french windows and doors to allow maximum light and space, whilst remaining cool in the hot summer months. The whole of the downstairs benefits from air-conditioning.
The large modern kitchen is made entirely of oak and beech and has a five ring gas range with large electric oven, a large American style fridge freezer with ice maker, microwave, and all the modern appliances you will need.
The utility room is just off the main hallway and has a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an outside rotary washing line to the rear of the property. There is also another large fridge freezer.
The dining room is between the Kitchen and lounge and can seat ten with comfort if you decide to eat inside. The large sliding doors can be opened to take full advantage of the views of the beautiful garden.
The beautiful large lounge is an area for comfort and relaxing, with two large sofas, air conditioning, TV/DVD and sound system and also wireless internet connection. The large full length french doors lead out directly onto the terrace making it an ideal space for entertaining or enjoying a quiet moment in the heat of the day.
The wrought iron and terracotta staircase leads up from the lounge to the landing with it's floor to ceiling windows and roof space open to the eaves. The master en-suite is connected to the upstairs lounge and the rest of the house by a "bridge" which is enclosed by wrought iron bannisters (so totally safe) and a lovely design feature of the house.
FIRST MASTER BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE
The large master en-suite bedroom has floor to ceiling french doors (with a safety rail) which open fully and give a wonderful view of the sea and the hills which you can enjoy from the comfort of the large 7ft square bed! The room is open to the eaves and the large beams are visible. The side shutters are electric and the bedroom is air-conditioned.
The en-suite bathroom has a modern separate shower and jacuzzi bath and has a large picture window that separates it from the bedroom. (Privacy can be assured by the use of the blind)
SECOND MASTER BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE
Once again the large and airy second master suite has floor to ceiling french doors which open up to give you a stunning view of the garden and pool and surrounding countryside. It has an electric fan and insect screens for the windows, which ensure a comfortable nights sleep,
The en-suite bathroom is light and airy with a shower and bath.
BEDROOMS THREE AND FOUR
Bedrooms three and four are both double bedrooms with large double beds. They have electric fans and insect screens for the windows. They are light and lovely and cool.
The family bathroom is between bedrooms three and four and is fully equipped with a bath, shower, and bidet.
THE UPSTAIRS LOUNGE
The upstairs lounge has a small double Clic Clac (sofa bed) and leads to the upstairs veranda, an ideal place to unwind in the evening whilst still being able to keep an eye on the kids in the pool. The veranda boasts far reaching views to the Esterel. From here there is an outside staircase down to the side of the house and the car parking area.
There is one downstairs toilet.
La Galejade is set in 6,500 sq metres of beautiful gardens and private woodland. With a beautiful large lawn and lots of natural shade it is a haven of tranquility. The gardens are maintained weekly and has it's own automatic watering system.
The 9m X 4.5m double infinity edge pool is surrounded by a large terrace with plenty of sun loungers. Heating is available on request. There is an ouside toilet and shower.
The very large terrace area has a gas BBQ and outside furniture and is perfect for outside entertaining. It has large umbrellas to give shade during the day and the gardens and terrace can be extensively lit for night time dining.
The Villa is situated at the end of a quiet and secure domain. The property is completely fenced with large gates providing a secure, private environment.
There is parking for up to 5 cars within the gates, and plenty of room outside.
