Activities and Attractions:
Every visit to Syöte National Park is the beginning of a new adventure, where unique experiences come to life to the rhythm of the changing seasons. Many who have experienced the magic of one season are already planning their next escape into Syöte’s thrilling wilderness!
In the winter time nature is suitable for cross-country and downhill skiing – especially Pikku-Syöte ski resort for children and older people. Ice fishing, reindeer safaris and snowshoeing are worth of experiencing. Snowmobile rental and several routes are also available. Summertime offers an opportunity for swimming, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking and bird watching. There are several signposted trekking paths with campfire rest places, which are available year round. Autumn is excellent for picking berries and wild mushroom. Finland is famous of everyman's right to pick berries and mushrooms from anywhere they can be found. The same applies with ice fishing and worm-fishing.
Quiet wilderness is close everywhere and reindeers can be seen every day and everywhere. The bear, wolverine and wolf are also present, but seeing them requires a lot of luck. View from the top of Iso-Syöte fell is breathtaking – especially in the Mid-Summer Night, when sun doesn’t set at all – 24 hours of full daylight!
