The Ultimate Guide to the Breweries in Charleston, SC
"Sought out by locals, Revelry Brewing has a great view of the city with a rooftop patio option, in addition to the original tasting room downstairs (which has more beers available). Locals hang out here after their kickball games, which take place right across the street. Revelry usually has live music and a kickass sushi food truck, which we were advised by Chris’s sister as being delicious."

"Although Holy City Brewing is off the beaten path, it is worth the trip. Voted “Best Local Brewery” for the sixth year in a row, Holy City Brewing has one of the largest selections of beer on tap and an impressive food selection to boot. Located in North Charleston, the garage-style, open-air concept and outdoor cornhole setup give Holy City Brewing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere."

Fear not, the four friends behind the brewery will still serve up over 20 different daily tap options and their elevated bar menu, which features snacks like smoked or fried to order chicken wings."

"This tasting room also happens to be in an old garage space, which seems to be a popular theme nowadays!. Some of my favorite breweries back in Minnesota and Wisconsin are also set in old garages. Located in North Charleston, this brewery serves up a little bit of everything in their tasting room."

"Don't expect a carbon copy of flagship restaurant Edmund's Oast here; EOBC, located in the Pacific Box & Crate development, is more relaxed, less polished, and more playful—but still takes its food and brews very seriously. The best dishes are also the messiest, like the catfish sandwich with Cajun mayo and the wood-fired pizzas drizzled with hot honey."

"With most of the breweries in Charleston located in the Brewery District, Cooper River Brewing is no exception to this HOP-ping area (get it HOP-ping, like hops?). If full-bodied beers are your thing, Cooper River Brewing will not disappoint. Hitting the Charleston brewery scene in 2015, their top brews are the Orange Infused Blonde Ale and Golden."

11 Essential Charleston Breweries You Need to Visit
"Est: 2012 | Johns IslandIt’s not as easy to get to as some of the other breweries on this list, but what Low Tide Brewing lacks in convenient access from Downtown, it makes up for with letter-perfect Lowcountry vibes once you arrive. Though it opened just a few years ago, Low Tide is the first craft brewery on rural-ish Johns Island (about 20 minutes from Charleston proper), and feels as much like a community meet-up as it does a production facility. The low-slung warehouse has tables both outside and in, and frequently welcomes food trucks for snacks during drinking sessions."

"Johns Island’s first brewery pays close attention to how beer pairs with the many different cuisines available in the Lowcountry. Owners Mike Fielding and Andy Elliott give restaurants the chance to collaborate with them, and food trucks are often stationed outside by the patio of the casual taproom."

10 Best Rooftop Bars in Charleston
"Most cities have them these days: that upscale lounge that’s marinated in the history of mixed drinks, and brags an ever-changing menu of inventive craft cocktails and their highly-skilled makers. In Charleston, that place is The Cocktail Club above the Macintosh. Note the red leather sofas and whisky crate side tables before stepping on onto the roof garden, where high wooden walls and comfy benches make a perfect, secret garden-esque setting for that muddled fruit sundowner."

While the terrific house-made charcuterie isn’t the ideal choice for an athlete trying to keep his or her hydration levels high, the cozy dining room, situated on a quiet corner of a neighborhood that’s still more residential than restaurant, is easy to enjoy, regardless of what’s ordered. 41-A Bogard St., 843-973-3323, luccacharleston.com"
