55 Best Things to Do in New York City (New York
"Just down from the Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan side is a an area that has witnessed a lot of recent change, even by New York’s dizzying standards. In the 17th century this was New York’s original port, where the city’s early economy first flourished and where the city’s clippers docked in the 19th century. The Seaport is a designated historic district, home to some of downtown Manhattan’s oldest buildings in a little cobblestone grid made up of Fulton Street, Front Street and Water Street."

Along with the exotically painted glass windows and beautiful marble work, the building comes out in an Italian Renaissance theme. The Campanile tower stands high to the west of the church itself."

10 Family-Friendly NYC Restaurants That Your Kids Will Love
"Dim sum may not have been invented by children, but it may be the perfect way to feed them. Keep kids entertained as carts of steaming, fancifully shaped foods roll around the vast expanse of this Brooklyn Chinatown favorite in Sunset Park. As at all good dim sum parlors, sweet and savory options abound, and, with no prescribed order of courses, you can delight your kids by letting them “eat dessert first,” offering them soft buns filled with red beans and sesame doughnuts even before you encourage them to nibble at a turnip cake or slurp a soup dumpling."

Where to Eat and Drink in Brooklyn: A Local's Guide
"Back when I was the food and drink staff writer at Time Out New York, I pitched a story about going behind the scenes at a dim sum restaurant to find out exactly how they prepare such vast quantities of dumplings and other small plates to feed the weekend hordes. Most of the big dim sum halls I approached in the city refused to let me observe in the kitchen, but the folks at Pacificana, located out in the booming Chinese section of Sunset Park, greeted me with wide-open doors. Let’s stop for one second to do some back-of-the-envelope math."

The Best Chinese Food in 32 NYC Neighborhoods
"With more than 100 menu items, even the pickiest eaters will find something to sample at this grandly appointed Cantonese dim sum hall. Here, you’ll have the chance to pluck bamboo steamers of jiggly soup dumplings and pink pleated har gow off waiter-wheeled carts. For those on the opposite end of the palate spectrum, you probably don’t need to worry about Pacificana running out of cold marinated chicken feet with jellyfish during dim sum hours."

NYC's Best New Restaurants & New Dishes In 2020
"Mushroom Sloppy ($10), Rice, Beans, and Greens ($8), Little Bok Choys ($6), Rice Rolls ($10), at Fat Choy Scott Lynch / Gothamist. A rich bounty of new vegan restaurants opened in 2020, but my favorite was definitely this "kind of Chinese" counter-service spot on Broome Street. Run by amiable non-vegans Justin Lee and Jared Moeller (somewhat ironically, the two of them met while working at the extremely meaty Cannibal), Fat Choy features a tight menu of small "plates" (really, cardboard boats), and everything is excellent so bring your pod and order up the whole damn thing."
