"Rose Island is considered one of the “Out Islands” in The Bahamas, which basically means that it is located a boat ride away from New Providence/Nassau. Rose Island is loved by visitors and locals alike for the peace and serenity to be found there which serves as the perfect opportunity to be away from it all. Rose Island makes the perfect day trip for couples, and there are tours you can sign up for which include lunch and a welcome drink (there’s also a beach bar)."

The 10 Best Restaurants In Nassau
"offers a menu of delicious and authentic barbecued meats and comfort snacks. The restaurant on Paradise Island followed the opening of the Virgil’s on New York’s Times Square, and, like the one in the Big Apple, Nassau’s Virgil’s brings with it the authentic, succulent, barbecued cuisine of southern United States. The large restaurant features an imaginative design, seemingly inspired by wooden barrels: The structures behind the booth tables resemble barrel staves, whilst the metal hoops on the ceiling create original, quirky chandeliers."

Top 5 Historic Sites in Nassau in the Bahamas
"The view of Nassau is one of Fort Charlotte’s best attributes. While standing on top of the imposing limestone structure, overlooking the waterless moat, dungeons, and draw-bridge, you can also watch cruise ships enter the harbor and imagine a time when pirate ships filled with looted gold or colonial vessels with Africans as cargo cruised in and out of the harbor. Fort Charlotte, which never fired a shot in battle, is the largest of the forts on the island."

Today, it offers a waterless moat, ramparts, canons, underground passages to dungeon rooms, and spectacular views of Paradise Island, the harbor and much of Nassau. "Located on Nassau’s eastern seaside—just off East Bay Street, overlooking Nassau Harbour and about a mile from the city center—Fort Montagu dates back to 1725, although the present fort was built between 1741-42 to defend the British possession from Spanish invaders. It’s more famously known, however, for being the site of the United States Marine Corps’ first military action, when in 1776, eight ships were sent to Fort Montagu to capture a large supply of gunpowder the British had stored there. (Although it turned out the gunpowder was elsewhere, The Bahamian militia retreated and Fort Montagu fell unopposed to the United States Marines."
